about me

I am a documentary photographer and photojournalist. I photograph people, places, and communities, often returning to stories that stay with me long after I have left.

I began photographing in Venezuela, where my work developed through photojournalism and documentary projects in neighborhoods and communities that are often seen from the outside but rarely understood from within. That experience shaped the way I work today: I try to spend time, observe before photographing, and let the people and circumstances in front of me guide the story.

For me, the camera is a point of connection. A photograph begins with the person in front of me, but it does not necessarily end there. Behind a face there may be a family, a neighborhood, a memory, a conflict, a tradition, or a story that deserves to be understood beyond a single frame.

My work moves between documentary photography, photojournalism, portraits, street photography, and personal projects. I am interested in everyday moments as much as extraordinary ones, particularly the details that can reveal something about a place or the people who live there.

Over the years, my photographs have appeared in Venezuelan media and international photography platforms. Through my work with ghetto | Photo, I have also explored photography as a way to tell stories, create dialogue, and give people space to represent their own experiences.

I do not photograph to explain everything. I photograph to look closer, to listen, and to leave a record of what I encountered.
